2026 Dress Blue Recap
On May 23, Food on the Stove proudly hosted our 4th Annual Dress Blue Gala at the beautiful Hotel Monaco, bringing together community leaders, firefighters, first responders, public servants, supporters, and stakeholders united by a shared commitment to serving those who serve us.
Hosted by Anthony M. Mitchell, the evening featured an inspiring keynote address from Former U.S. Fire Administrator Dr. Lori Moore-Merrell, whose powerful message reinforced the importance of investing in the health, wellness, and resilience of our nation's firefighters and first responders.
We were also proud to recognize this year's Dress Blue Gala award recipients, whose leadership, service, and dedication continue to make a meaningful impact in our communities. Their commitment embodies the values at the heart of Food on the Stove's mission, and we are honored to celebrate their contributions.
Following the gala, guests continued the evening at Dress Blue Encore, our exclusive post reception for networking and celebration. The reception provided an opportunity for sponsors, partners, award recipients, and attendees to build new relationships, strengthen existing partnerships, and celebrate another successful year of advancing our mission together.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our title sponsor, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, for their continued leadership and commitment to community wellness and public service. We are also deeply thankful to our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and attendees whose generosity and support made this year's event possible.
The Dress Blue Gala is more than an annual celebration. It is an opportunity for our community to invest in the health and well-being of firefighters and first responders who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities. Together, we are building stronger support systems, improving access to health and wellness resources, and ensuring those who serve us have the support they deserve.
While the evening has come to a close, our mission continues every day.
